June 11, 2024

Lange Real Estate is thrilled to announce that the highly anticipated Champtown development in Park City will break ground on June 14, 2024. This event marks the start of a transformative $500 million project that promises to elevate Park City as a major tourist destination and boost the local economy.

In collaboration with Champtown Partners, The City of Park City, Equisset, and Hellas Construction, Lange Real Estate will host the groundbreaking ceremony at the 160-acre site located off I-135 between 53rd Street North and 61st Street North. This project will feature a variety of attractions, including an aquarium, restaurants, retail spaces, a hotel with an indoor multi-sport venue, and youth baseball facilities.

“Champtown is a vision of progress and a glimpse into the future of Park City,” said Rachel Lange-Mills of Lange Real Estate. “This groundbreaking ceremony signifies the beginning of a project that will transform our community and provide residents and visitors with a unique destination for years to come. We are incredibly excited about the future of Park City.”

The development has already secured crucial partnerships and letters of intent, ensuring a diverse mix of attractions:

Aquarium: The OdySea Aquarium team from Scottsdale, Arizona, will bring a world-class, multi-level facility to Champtown.
Youth Baseball Facilities: Prep Baseball Report will operate the youth baseball facilities, with Hellas Construction building eight baseball fields and a stadium.
Retail and Services: Agreements have been secured for a large retail store, a gas station/convenience store, and several quick-service restaurants.
Butterfly Wonderland: This feature will include a rainforest-inspired butterfly conservatory, educational displays on Monarch migration, live chrysalis observation, and an interactive butterfly environment.

“We are excited to be working with such esteemed partners,” Lange-Mills added. “Each component plays a crucial role in making Champtown a premier destination, not just for the region but for visitors from across the country. The future of Park City has never looked brighter.”

The groundbreaking ceremony will include remarks from key stakeholders, a ceremonial first dig, and an overview of the development plans. Media and the public are invited to attend and celebrate this significant milestone for Park City.
